We began the semester as total strangers and with the completion of this paper we have finished our transformation to the "Soaring Seven". We have trudged our way through the trials and tribulations of teamwork, and end with a deeper knowledge of the processes by which HIPO is achieved. Now, if you were to ask any of the "Soaring Seven" what the definition of a HIPO is, we could share with you a very broad picture of the processes and development that are steeped within individual team members' personalities and interactions. We have garnered the knowledge that a high performance organization does not occur simply due to the compilation of a group of individual high-performers. Operating under the assumption that a group of individuals or employees can be "assigned" to perform as a team does not guarantee success. There is an intricate dance of personalities and performance that develops within each team, and it is up to the team itself to recognize the motions, activities and elements. From there, the team must identify the efficacy of those elements, hone them, and finally utilize them to produce the end goal or product.
